Named after Henry Hiteman the supporter and founder of this company, a place where "wanderers" could take rest from a night of drink, the ghostly impressions of that time still echo through the building. Shadowy black fiqures, ringing bills, eerie voices recorded saying "go", footsteps and doors opening and closing made this investigation very inviting. A man closely resembling Henry, complete with goatee peeking around corners at members may be a sign of an intelligent haunting occuring from time to time in this wonderful historic building.

January 2012 - "The Shack" - Sangerfield, N.Y.
On a sub zero evening this private home once a brick making operation became alive with supernatural activity. There, for many years a hostile woman continued to make life uneasyfor its current occupant. Children remained as stay behinds, causing sadness with their antics and whisperings. Digital pictures, EVP'S, one saying "here they come" and very high gauss meter readings, assured us that we were not alone. Intense cleansings were performed hoping to help the owner, proud somewhat reassuring, and the owner has come to peace sharing their home with the spirits within the walls.

February 2011 - Old Stone Fort - Schoharie, NY
The Old Stone Fort was originally built as a church in 1772. However, through the years it had also been used as a "fort" during the Revolutionary War. In fact a cannonball hole can still be seen in a corner at the rear of the building. The building now operates as a museum where thousands of antiques & artifacts from both war & peace are housed. We had no idea on that snowy winter night as we drove there what the spirits had in mind for us. No one could know that the smell of a sweet tobacco smoke would linger in the air or that an EVP would later be heard to say "I smoke". We couldn't have imagined that bodyless footsteps would be heard throughout the night. Or that an investigator would feel an unseen hand stroke her hair. Yes, no one could know that the Old Stone Fort would leave us with so many memories & evidence of the paranormal, & yet we seek. For indeed that is what we do. We are the Seekers.

April 2011 - Madison House Hotel & Restaurant - Oneida, NY
When the Madison House Hotel & Restaurant opened its doors to us in April 2011 we were just plain thrilled. This building located in Oneida NY was built around 1852 & is no doubt packed with a plentitude of history including a hotel ledger with names as famous as Abraham Lincoln & Martin VanBuren. Legend also has it that other presidents had stopped to dine there along their way. This historical building did not let us down.
As we were setting up our equipment, one of our members had something catch his eye in the entryway. When he looked up, he saw a figure walk across the hall & pass right through the wall. Good start! All the members caught a glimpse of a shadow person throughout the evening, who seemed to linger near the bar, even setting off the motion detector located there. Employees later verified the figure is often seen. A Mini-DVD camera placed upstairs, in the hall outside the room where Abraham Lincoln had stayed, captured audio of a squeaking door being opened & the sound of footsteps. However, these two events occured with no figures (of this world or the next) appearing on film. We also did not lack EVPs caught on our digital recorders. Some of them proving that friends & family of the Ghost Seekers, who have passed, are still with us in spirit, no matter where we may be, as were the spirits who remain at Madison House. The thrills & chills were plenty. The EVPs were numerous. The night was a total paranormal adventure for all!

May 2010 - Grace Brown - S.Otselic, N,Y,
The case of Grace Brown and Chester Gillette has always been intriguing to every one on our team. Was it murder? Was it an accident? It was therefore very exciting when the owner of the home she grew up in, contacted us and invited us to do an investigation in the home. Everyone on the team had read several books about the case, and we all had reached our own conclusions. Some of those conclusions were rocked when playing back our EVP sessions from that night a female voice was heard to say " he did it ". Our EVP session also recorded what sounded like a mandolin, an instrument Grace's sister played in this very home. A shadow of a woman was seen crossing by a window outside whe there was no mortal outside. There were knocks in response to questions we were asking....and the hand of one of our investigators was touched by something unseen. Events too numerous to mention took place that night, all leading to the conclusion that Grace still roams there and wants people to know her story.

June 2010 - The Capitol Theater - Rome, NY
The hi-lite of this investigation would be without a doubt our personal expierences with what we believe to be ghostly energy trapped or passing through from another time at the theater. Doors were recorded opening and slamming while we sat quietly doing our work on the stage. Temperatures plumeted on the stage and near the balcony. Flashlights beamed brightly in response to our questioning and voices in the form of evp's were collected. Shadowy figures were seen moving about in the basement and in the lobby of the theater. As reported, this beautiful building seems to be inhabited by intelligent spirits gleaning a glimpse of their past, or into our mortal world.

June 2010 - Rutger Mansion#1 - Utica, N.Y.
Built in 1852 for John Munn,this beautiful home/nursing home left nothing to the imagination that unrestful spirits have chosen to remain there. Some personal expierences of our team include seeing a disembodied spirit move about in the foyer, and a forboding feeling of malevolence there. All K2 meters were fully lit indicatng we were not alone and many EVP's such as "poor John", "no" and "twin" were recorded. A John followed us all night and we believe he met an untimely death while there. Too numerous to mention,visual , audio, video,and personal encounters convinced us that a very active home it still is with timeles supernatural activity.

July 2010 - Rutger Mansion#3 - Utica, N.Y.Our findings of
A Residual haunting, witnessed by three of our investigators on the second floor stairs, was just the beginning of a positive investigation of this historical site. Many influential names such as Roscoe Conkling visited us that eerie night.A team member was pushed into a closet in the master bedroom and a young female spirit tugged on an investigators pants. A male voice responded "yes" on an EVP recording as did "excuse me"; "spirits" and a sinister "ha ha".Smoky ectoplasm enveloped the stairway leading to the second floor along with an apparition of a mam. Another entity stood inqusitively on a back stairway leading to the kitchen in his gardening clothes. Positive thermal readings and digital pics lended themselves to the energy of the afterlife who choose to remain there.

February 2009 - Private Residence - Syracuse,N.Y.
Reported activity at this home included speaking voices, whispering and a midnight drumming to name a few. K-2 meter readings in response to questions during our investigation led us to believe we were not alone. We were fortunate to hear and record at 10pm the familiar low drumming sound and the whispers that were reported to us; in the master bedroom. Also several evp's were recorded. We believe the spirit who dwells there and has followed the owner in her travels, to be a comforting presence in the hopes of protecting these individuals.

May 2009 - Dunham Public Library - Whitesboro, N.Y.
History:General Herkimer and the Tryon County Militia camped on the site where the library now stands on their way to the Battle of Oriskany in1776 and reports of a ghostly man have seen here.A tavern was built on this exact spot sometime in the late 1700's. It was destroyed by a fire and a home was constructed there by Moses Earl Dunham and was donated by his wife as a public library before she died. During our investigation we were privileged to hear ghostly footsteps,see shadows out "of the corner of our eyes",K-2 meters flashing full lights in response to qestioning,and two of us us expierenced a gentle ghostly touch! Also, we recorded an evp response to the question " are you confused?" of "no".Several other evp's were recorded and a fully lighted flashlight entertained us as we tried to communicate with the spirits in the old and new additions to the library. With the history of the property,we believe many spirits have found reason to stay connected there.

July 2009 - The Seashell Inn - Sylvan Beach, N.Y.
The Seashell Inn is a picturesque restaurant tucked away on the shores of Oneida Lake. We were summoned there by the owner, who after years of living with what she considered to be paranormal activity, wanted some hard core proof. The fun started right away! As we were being shown around, the owner had turned on a light to guide our way. An unseen hand, moments later turned it off! This event was captured on video. A story that graces the cover of the restaurants menu was backed up by the ghostly screams of a woman that was heard and recorded by the group at midnight.One of our investigators was summoned by a voice heard in the form of an evp upon analyzing our digital recordings. All of this combined with many interesting pictures, and paranormal activity caught on video lead us to believe there are indeed spirits at the Seashell Inn who are going to stay there.

August 2009 - Oneida County Historical Society - Utica, N.Y.
What makes for a good ghost investigation? A balmy summer night at the Oneida County Historical Society could well hold the answer to that question. Sighs of distress recorded 2 times in an empty room once called "the sick room". A whistle caught on a digital recorder seeming to respond to a team members request to the spirits to whistle or sing. A ghostly image recorded on film forming, then disappearing only to try to form again as we watched awestruck! A walkie talkie ringing on 2 seperate occasions, calls that did not come from our second walkie, calls that when answered were met with nothing but silence on the other end. A session of questions asked of the spirit world by our team members that were answered by responses of a flashlight whose battery had been disconnected. All this and so much more on that warm summer night in this place filled with history and mystery.

January 2008 - Wayside Pub - Elbridge, New York
Built in the 1800's and long known for its history of paranormal events, our two investigations there evidenced some interesting events of paranormal activity. Along with door knobs turning by themslves, whispering voices and a general feeling of being followed and watched, we were able to get quite a clear and sinister evp of a male laughing! Examination of digital and hi-8 recordings showed numerous large orbs in motion,a shadowy figure, and some good ectoplasmic pics. Truly we have added more paranormal events to its history and were pleased to have met the wonderful and accomodating owners.

Investigation of some of the buildings here evidenced some great evp's digitally recorded at different locations. Also, a personal experience witnessed by all ; a sudden drop in temperature , physically felt in response to a question by one of our team members. Great pics of orbs and a feeling of a presence in and around Fort Bull. We will be returning to complete several more buildings at the village.

April 2008 - Beardslee Castle - St. Johnsville, New York
Having accepted an invitation to do a fundraiser for the Herkimer County Historical Society our group decided we would do a quick investigation of the Castle to include in our public paranormal presentation there . Amazingly,we got some great evidence of the supernatural,in spite of the fact that the kitchen help stayed on later than we would have liked and our quiet, pristine investigation was noisey for awhile. It appears that ghosts get through somehow if they want to.Upstairs in the reception room using the K-2 meter we got a positive reading in response to a question.Also an evp of a laughing female on the second floor after distinct feelings that someone was there when there was not. In the dungeon, a flashlight went dead, only to come on by itself in the pocket of an investigator. An ifrared video shows a chair moving by itself as we sat trying to communicate with the spirits. That moving chair is a great piece of evidence of the supernatural under a controlled situation.

May 2006 - The Hulbert House - Boonville, New York
On this subsequent investigation we have all been completely convinced with stating- this site is haunted! Negative energy felt by our psychic outside front of building. On the second floor in room 25, extremely negative energy felt. During a quiet moment in this room with two team members and our psychic, the ghost of a distressed male appeared with a start, catching us all of guard and a bit scared. He was tall and nervously wringing his hands, he appeared unaware of where he was and why. He was gently asked to move toward the light, as he was no longer with the living. Hesitating at first he disappeared in a “poof” manner. After this incident a pic of the man in the hall captured during the first investigation was presented to our psychic and she admitted that it looked like the ghost we’d encountered in room 25. Strangely enough- when the analog tape was played back of the incident, all of the audio had disappeared. We know why, and feel we experienced a very unusual phenomenon that only leads us to question again and again-the parallel dimension of life after death.

January 2006 - The Hulbert House - Boonville, New York
Initial Investigation. Our investigation of the famous 1812 restaurant and hotel proved quite successful as a haunted location as we were able to capture a clear and distinct EVP of echoing footsteps evenly spaced on the third floor. On the second floor a 35mm pic of a tall dark shadow of a man wearing civil war attire inclusive of a war hat and boots. No negative energy felt at this time and negative for gauss meter readings. Another investigation will be scheduled soon.

July 2006 - Herkimer 1834 Jail - Herkimer, New York
Famous for being the jail where the famed Chester Gillette was housed in 1906, our team turned up some positive gauss meter reading spikes moments before a team member was shoved to the floor in one of the cells. IT IS QUITE UNUSUAL FOR SOMEONE TO BE TOUCHED DURING AN INVESTIGATION AND WE CERTAINLY BELIEVE that something negative in nature had manifested. Both 35mm and digital pics show a spirit/ghost manifesting in front of Chester’s cell. Also, a 35mm pic of a very large Orb was taken in front of the jail outside. The general feeling there was quite eerie and we believe the place to be haunted.

July 2005 - Madison Hall - Morrisville, New York
An investigation into the old one time courthouse in Morrisville,seemed to fire up the spirit of Amos, the man who in the 1800's was responsible for setting the court on fire to hide evidence against the famed Loomis Gang. He was an unpleasant and rude spirit and wanted to be heard by our team.Believed to be haunted by professors who once worked there ,many digital pics of spirit orbs and a manifestation of two men in the balcony of the court were revealed. A wonderful 35mm. pic of spirit ectoplasm was taken outside and to the left of the building where once stood the original jailhouse of old. The presence of of spirits was deeply felt by all team members.

We believe this Herkimer home to be truly haunted by spirits from the past, who at times have frightened the residents.Based on our investigation,we were able to capture spirit voices(evp)on our recorders, floating orbs on our monitors,still and digital photography and elevated emf and gauss meter readings.With the help of our own psychic Marlene, an apparition of a small girl manifested herself. At this time the residents are coming to a better understanding of spirit presence and welcome them in their home.

September 2005 - Saratoga County Homestead - Saratoga, New York
A former TB hospital of the late 1800’s where many sad souls remain to this day. Our team captured several photos of what appeared to be an evil entity in the window overlooking the front of the building. During our investigation of the interior negative feelings were encountered; one sending a member out of the basement with ill feelings and a black shadow at her footsteps. All felt foul odors and a general feeling of malaise. Our psychic came in contact with the ghost of a little girl tortured and trapped by memories of a sad event while she lived there. There were no spikes in gauss meter readings. Definitely a cold negative place.

This courthouse is famed for the Chester Gillette and Grace Brown murder trial and the trial of Roxalana Druse accused of hacking her husband to death with an ax. Collected amazing evp of a distinct name "Ward" who was the prosecuting attorney in the Gillette Brown case. Also, a ghostly voice saying "go back". Cameras were drained of power, intelligent orbs made their way across the courtroom, and a full body apparition of a woman in white was spotted moving on the landing to the second floor. All in all, this investigation was positive for numerous paranormal activity.

This Estate Investigation was very peaceful and calm. Although there was some strong activity our group determined that this is just simply children and family members throughout history that had some sort of attachment to the home. We were able to experience a little girl giggling in the attic, footsteps, cool breezes throughout and at one point we even lost power of all of our equipment at the very same moment!!! EVP 's were recorded. Ghost Seekers will keep all of you up to date on any new information from this case. Case closed.
